Neon Flash

As an avid fan of the Tom Binns and Erickson Beamon neon themed jewellery for the current and past season, it's no wonder that I would soon get on the band wagon and try a DIY version of the extraordinary pieces that I have long desired for, yet still do not own. Sticking to the 'fluro' motif, I ransacked my nail varnish box for the pink fluorescent varnish I stashed away years ago, and the bright orange polish I purchased last season. This project was exceptionally easy to complete, and can surely be carried out on various other shades and pieces (i.e. necklaces, brooches, etc.).

~ choose a piece of jewelery embedded with clear diamantes ~

~ Creative Nail Design #265 Hottie ~

~ choose a nail varnish and paint over the center piece with a fine brush ~

~ Chanel Dissolvant Doux Nail Colour Remover ~

~ between each nail shade, clean your brush using nail polish remover ~

~ O.P.I. Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? ~

~ select a different colour and start to paint the surrounding diamantes ~

~ kit Blow Out ~

~ you can play around with as many different colours as you wish ~

~ you may find that you may need to paint a couple of coats to create an opaque look ~

~ O.P.I. Top Coat ~

~ once the varnish has dried, paint over each diamante with a coat of top coat ~

~ finished product ~

  3. The finished product is way different from its original look. It more attractive and creative. It gave a new look to an old jewelry. Great job!
