~ fur at Balmain ~
As winter starts to roll around in the northern hemisphere, now is a good time to explore the world of texture. Since it is a tradition of mine to travel to a foreign land during the holiday season, there is a 50/50 percent chance that I will be traveling to a winter wonderland where wearing faux fur is something I have tackled in the past and isn't too daunting for me to flaunt. Perspex and PVC on the other hand is an entirely new concept that I'm not yet sure whether or not I have the courage to wrap myself in. But say, if I do journey to a paradisaical island where all my dreams come true, I have my familiar friends such as chiffon and silk to accompany me.

What is with the gel-filled plastic that's showing up everywhere these days? I don't get it. I'll stick to the Balmain fur!

ReplyDeleteSTYLE DECORUM
I love fall fashion for its textures specifically. I'm not *too* familiar with PVC, but from what I know, it can sometimes make it difficult for your skin to breathe, often causing claminess. So in the winter, you would probably end up colder with PVC on than with nothing at all! Unless it was well-insulated, of course! Nonetheless, I *love* Christopher Kane's dresses from this season. So perfect.
ReplyDeleteAdored this years Balmain too. So lovely. They just never fail.
